I consider myself fairly creative and I like to think outside the box a lot.
I always want to try new things, reinvent things and have things that are different from everyone else.
It drives me nuts when I see my friends not think for themselves and want to mimic what I do. It is not so much the "copying" that bothers me it is that they don’t try to channel any creativity for themselves. Am I reading into it too much or is this normal?
You should feel flattered that your friends look to you for leadership. Clearly, you’ve got good ideas — maybe it’s a sign you should start your own company someday.
If it bothers you, you could always try asking your friends for their ideas before contributing your own. Otherwise, just think of yourself as a trendsetter and don’t worry about it.

Everyone is not going to be as creative as you are, because everyone is different I am very creative. I play the flute, draw, research etc. Some of my friends don’t do anything either, but your friends are copying you because they lack creativity. Do not give up on your creativity just because of that.

Yes, I do. I hate it when I see "Copying" people should just be themselves, yeah?
